Extracurricular activities are a great way for students to meet new friends, learn new things or give something back to their community. Best of all, studies show that students who are involved in after-school activities earn higher grades and are more successful – both academically and socially. Details about meeting dates and times are generally provided over the morning announcements, on the internet or via notices posted around the school. Parents and students should also feel free to contact their school representative for more information.
Student Council (STUCO)
Student Council officers are elected in the spring for the following school year. Three students from each homeroom (incoming 8th grade) are nominated by their peers and teacher. Candidates run for the positions of President, Vice-President and Secretary. In the fall, grades 6-8 select one representative from each homeroom who will serve on the Student Council. See more.
