Student Council (STUCO)
Student Council officers are elected in the spring for the following school year. Three students from each homeroom (incoming 8th grade) are nominated by their peers and teacher. Students accepting the nomination prepare a speech which is submitted for approval to a panel of faculty members and the Principal. The acceptable candidates will present their speeches to the incoming 6th, 7th & 8th grade students, who will then cast their votes for their favorite candidate. Candidates will run for the positions of President, Vice-President and Secretary. The student who receives the most votes becomes the President, the second place candidate becomes Vice-President., and the third will become Secretary. If all of the speeches are deemed unacceptable, the Principal shall select the President, Vice-President and Secretary. In the fall, grades 6-8 will select one representative from each homeroom who will serve on the Student Council.
Student Council meets with the Student Council Sponsor(s) at least once a month throughout the school year, and serves the school community through various activities including:
Leading several All School Masses
Auction Video Production
